Woman Empowered was born from the founder's journey.
As a teen mother, Sharlet navigated the challenges of becoming a woman while still finding her footing—facing obstacles that tested her confidence, resilience, and sense of purpose. She knows firsthand how a single misstep or season can alter the course of a young woman’s life—even when she was raised with faith, morals, support, and confidence.
This program exists to mentor young women and girls—helping them avoid common pitfalls, recognize their inner strength, and rise above their circumstances. Through mentorship, skills, and community, Woman Empowered reminds every woman of her power within and equips her to move forward with confidence and purpose.
THE WOMAN EMPOWERED EXPERIENCE
Woman Empowered is delivered through a structured annual cohort, designed to provide consistent mentorship, growth, and celebration.
Each cohort includes:
- Mentorship Classes
Focused on personal growth, confidence, leadership, and life skills.
- Scholarships & Sponsorships
Supporting education, training, and advancement, including small business grants that help participants launch or grow income-generating ventures.
- Community Support
Through shared learning, accountability, and encouragement.
- Graduation Ceremony
Honoring completion, growth, and achievement.
We host one cohort per year, allowing us to walk closely with each group of women and ensure meaningful, lasting impact.

Woman Empowered operates exclusively in Kenya, supporting women and young mothers in underserved slum communities. Through mentorship, life-skills training, and economic empowerment, the program walks alongside women as they build confidence, resilience, and sustainable pathways forward.
