Raised in Nairobi, Kenya, Sharlet grew up in a home where generosity was a way of life. From visiting children’s homes and shelters with her mother to watching her father open their doors to those in need, service was modeled long before it was ever spoken.
That foundation came full circle in November 2018, when she turned 27. To mark the birthday, Sharlet, her son and her husband Elly committed to feeding 30 people every month. Saving just one dollar a day, they spent their months serving individuals experiencing homelessness in downtown Dallas—quietly, consistently, and without recognition.
One encounter would deepen that calling. Meeting Marco, a man in a wheelchair holding a sign that read “Water please,” revealed a truth they could no longer ignore: hunger is often the beginning of a much deeper need.
What began as feeding the homeless in Dallas became 30 To Infinity—a feeding-first nonprofit serving communities across Texas and Kenya. Today, the organization nourishes communities while empowering women and youth to build sustainable futures.
We feed for today and empower for tomorrow.
Communities nourished. Futures empowered.
We believe in restoring confidence and possibility.
We provide tools, mentorship, and support for independence.
We meet urgent needs with dignity and compassion—because nourishment/feeding is the foundation for hope and healing.

Sharlet Too is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of 30 To Infinity, a feeding-first nonprofit committed to nourishing communities and empowering women and youth to build sustainable futures. Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, Sharlet immigrated to the United States at 19. Her journey as a young mother—marked by sacrifice, resilience, and faith—deepened her commitment to supporting women and youth navigating hardship, an experience she understands personally. Raised in a home where generosity was modeled daily, service became second nature. From visiting children’s homes and shelters with her mother to watching her father open their doors to those in need, compassion was lived long before it became a mission. Sharlet is also the founder of Zawadi Empire, an interior design firm based in McKinney, Texas. Her leadership and impact have been recognized globally, including receiving the 50 Under 50 Global Award and being featured across multiple magazines and media platforms. At her core, Sharlet believes lasting change happens when faith meets action and purpose is lived out daily.

Elly Obwaka is the Co-Founder and President of 30 To Infinity, providing strategic leadership and playing a key role in the organization’s outreach, fundraising, and community engagement efforts.
Elly immigrated to the United States at the age of 13, an experience that shaped his resilience, work ethic, and deep empathy for others navigating hardship. His passion for service was cultivated early in life while living with his grandmother, whose generosity and care for the community left a lasting impression.
A committed partner in both life and mission, Elly has been actively involved in all outreach initiatives led by 30 To Infinity, coordinating and participating in community feeding efforts and service programs. He also supports the creative and operational vision of Zawadi Empire, contributing behind the scenes to its growth and success.
Elly is especially passionate about mentoring and empowering young men—helping them identify purpose, build responsibility, and rise beyond their circumstances through guidance rooted in lived experience, faith, and service.

Zahra brings decades of service and leadership experience to 30 To Infinity. She dedicated her life’s work to supporting individuals with mental illness and housing instability—first as a caregiver, then as the founder of Baraka LLC, a housing and transitional support organization in Phoenix, Arizona.
Zahra’s wisdom, compassion, and mentorship continue to play a vital role in guiding the Board and strengthening the organization’s mission.

Sharon brings compassion, discipline, and resilience to her role as Secretary of the Board. She pursued nursing as a calling to serve others, excelling academically and professionally in critical care.
Now a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), Sharon’s work is deeply influenced by her personal health journey and faith. Her passion for helping others and commitment to service continue to strengthen the mission and governance of 30 To Infinity.
Together, we can nourish communities and empower futures.
